Self-Levelling Pedestals for Joists | 41-66mm Adjustable Deck Supports | StrataRise
Designed for use on sloping surfaces. Adjustable from 41 to 66mm (1.6" to 2.6") - height extendable to 500mm (20") + with extensions
Product Overview & Features
StrataRise Multi-Level 4166 Self-Levelling Pedestals will automatically compensate for slopes from 0° to 5° and are adjustable in height from 41mm to 66mm (1.6" to 2.6"). The adjustable height can be increased by using one or more of our QuickClick, bayonet fitting, extension pieces to achieve the required height range. The system can be extended to 500mm (20") high, or more as required.
These joist support pedestals for decks and floors make it easy to achieve perfect levelling of beams or joists for flooring or decking support.. The system is very easy to use and aids quick, precise and professional installation.
Each adjustable support is composed of a threaded self-levelling head section, with a fixing flange with screw slot for attaching to the joist or beam. The head is wide enough to accept joists up to 75mm (3") wide and is suitable for all common heights. For wider joists we recommend placing alternate pedestals from opposite sides of the joist.

An easy to operate threaded adjustment ring makes raising or lowering the head really quick and precise. Height adjustments can be made without removing the joists thus allowing for extremely easy and fast installation.
The large 200mm (8”) base plate provides stable support on most surfaces. Scribe marks are provided on the underside to assist in trimming for use at sides and corners of installations. An optional 3mm (1/8") thick anti-slip, cushioning, rubber base ring is available for use on membranes, etc. This effectively reduces transmitted noise where decks are mounted on balconies or roof areas, as well as for floors in multi-occupancy buildings.
4166ML self-leveling pedestal supports are tested to withstand loads of 650Kg (1430lbs) at their weakest setting, i.e. maximum height adjustment with just one thread engaged. The normal spacing apart for the 4166ML-SL-DF is at 500mm to 600mm (20" to 24" centers along the joists for most projects, potentially saving up to 50% on units required for many projects when compared with other systems.

Applications & Suitable Surfaces
Thanks to the large support area of the pedestal bases the system can be installed on top of waterproofing membranes, rigid insulating panels and onto any solid, compact laying surface.
The circular shape of the base adapts well to the course of the laying surface, even when this is not perfectly regular. The base incorporates holes for the outflow of water and two head-cut lines to be used when laying the supports at perimeter edges or corners.
This versatile pedestal support can be used with most types of support joists and beams for flooring and decking.
Professional Grade Design
Designed for the professional, with industry leading specifications, our pedestals are the fastest and easiest to work with, allowing precise adjustment without any need to lift off the joists to make adjustments. Bayonet fitting extenders enable easy customisation to any height. With just 4 components (pedestal plus 3 sizes of extenders) you have the complete system to suit all heights and nearly every application. Frequently Asked Questions
What slope can these self-levelling pedestals compensate for?
The 4166ML-SL-DF pedestals are designed to automatically compensate for surface slopes from 0° to 5°, making them ideal for creating level decks and floors on gently inclined surfaces like balconies or drainage slopes.
What is the maximum load capacity of a single pedestal?
Each pedestal is tested to withstand loads of 650 kg (1430 lbs) at its weakest setting (maximum height with minimal thread engagement). This high load rating ensures a safe and stable foundation for decking and flooring.
Can I use these pedestals on a waterproof membrane or insulation?
Yes. Thanks to the large 200mm (8") base plate, the system is perfectly suitable for installation on top of waterproofing membranes, rigid insulating panels, and any other solid, compact surface. An optional anti-slip rubber base ring is available for extra protection and noise reduction on sensitive surfaces.
How do I extend the height beyond 66mm?
The standard height range is 41-66mm. To achieve greater heights (up to 500mm or more), you can easily add one or more bayonet-fitting QuickClick extension pieces. This modular system allows for highly customizable height adjustment.
What is the recommended spacing between pedestals?
For most projects, pedestals should be spaced 500mm to 600mm (20" to 24") apart along the joists. This efficient spacing can save up to 50% on the number of units required compared to other systems.
