Low Profile Self-Levelling Pedestals for Joists | 34-52mm Adjustable Deck Supports | StrataRise
Adjustable from 34 to 52mm (1.34" - 2.05") - designed for low threshold height projects on sloping surfaces
Product Overview & Features
The Low-Profile 3452 self-levelling pedestal, with auto adjustment for slopes from 0 to 5%, is a specially designed support for use on sloping areas where low threshold heights are required. Each support is composed of a threaded self-levelling head section, with a fixing flange with screw slot for attaching to the joist or beam. The head is wide enough to accept joists up to 75mm (3") wide and is suitable for all common heights. For wider joists we recommend placing alternate pedestals from opposite sides of the joist.
An easy to operate threaded adjustment ring makes raising or lowering the head really quick and precise. Height adjustments can be made without lifting or removing the joists thus allowing for extremely easy and fast installation. As standard each Low-Level 3452 pedestal comes complete with one 9mm (0.35") extender ring (this can be fitted by lifting the head out of the base, inserting the ring and replacing the head).

The large 200mm (8”) base plate provides stable support on most surfaces. Scribe marks are provided on the underside to assist in trimming for use at sides and corners of installations. An optional anti-slip, cushioning, rubber base pad is available for use on membranes, etc. This effectively reduces transmitted noise where decks are mounted on balconies or roof areas, as well as for floors in multi-occupancy buildings.
3452LP pedestal supports are tested to withstand point loads of 1430lbs (650Kg) at their maximum height adjustment. The normal spacing apart for the 3452LP-SL-DF is at 500mm to 600mm (20" to 24") along the support joists for most projects, potentially saving up to 50% on units required for many projects when compared with other systems.

Applications & Suitable Surfaces
Suitable for laying over membranes and insulating panels
Thanks to the large support area of the pedestal bases the system can be installed on top of waterproofing membranes, rigid insulating panels and onto any solid, compact laying surface.
The circular shape of the base adapts well to the course of the laying surface, even when this is not perfectly regular. The base incorporates holes for the outflow of water and two head-cut lines to be used when laying the supports at perimeter edges or corners.
Available in two versions, this versatile pedestal support can be used with any type of timber, composite or metal joist.
Professional Grade Design
Designed for the professional, with industry leading specifications, our pedestals are the fastest and easiest to work with, allowing precise adjustment without any need to lift off the joists to make adjustments. Each 3452LP Pedestal is supplied with one 9mm extension ring as standard.
Frequently Asked Questions
What slope can these self-levelling pedestals compensate for?
The 3452LP-SL-DF pedestals are designed to automatically compensate for surface slopes from 0 to 5%, making them ideal for creating level decks and floors on gently inclined surfaces like balconies or drainage slopes. Specially designed for areas where low threshold heights are required.
What is the maximum load capacity of a single pedestal?
Each pedestal is tested to withstand loads of 650 kg (1430 lbs) at its weakest setting (maximum height with minimal thread engagement). This high load rating ensures a safe and stable foundation for decking and flooring.
Can I use these pedestals on a waterproof membrane or insulation?
Yes. Thanks to the large 200mm (8") base plate, the system is perfectly suitable for installation on top of waterproofing membranes, rigid insulating panels, and any other solid, compact surface. An optional anti-slip rubber base ring is available for extra protection and noise reduction on sensitive surfaces.
How do I extend the height beyond 52mm?
The standard height range is 34-52mm. To achieve greater heights you can easily add extra 9mm Extender Rings, which are available separately for purchase in boxes of 30 pieces from https://www.stratarise.uk/product-page/9mm-height-extender-ring-for-1836-2442-3452-pedestals. This modular system allows for highly customisable height adjustment.
What is the recommended spacing between pedestals?
For most projects, pedestals should be spaced 500mm to 600mm (20" to 24") apart along the joists. This efficient spacing can save up to 50% on the number of units required compared to other systems.
