Product Overview & Features

The Extra Low-Profile 1020 pedestal is a specially designed support for use in areas where low threshold heights are encountered. The pedestals are adjustable from 10 to 15mm (0.39" to 0.59") as standard, or 15mm to 20mm (0.59" to 0.79") with the 5mm (0,2") height extender ring supplied with each pedestal.

Each support is composed of a threaded head section with 4 removable tabs 2mm (5/64") or 4mm (5/32") in width for paver and tile spacing or, for joist support with a single tab for location and fixing. The spacer tabs are individually removable to enable the supports to be used in areas where no separation is required, such as under the centres of large slabs, or at sides and corners.

An easy to operate threaded adjustment and scale markings, on the pedestal head, makes raising or lowering the head really quick and lever precise. Height adjustments can be made without removing the paver or tile thus allowing for extremely easy and fast installation. As standard, each Extra Low-Level 1020 pedestal comes complete with one 0.2" (5mm) extender ring.

Accessories

1020-ACOU-30 - This is a special moulded 2mm (5/64") thick rubber ring to fit to the top of the support head to provide acoustic damping by reducing transmitted noise through the pedestal.

1020-EX05-30 - Additional Height Extender Ring 5mm (0.2") - can be used in multiples. (Note: If adjustment heights higher than 20mm are needed you may wish to consider using the 1836LP pedestal rather than adding multiple rings to the 1020 pedestal).

ABP-200-3-30 - An optional 3mm (1/8") thick anti-slip, cushioning, rubber base ring is available for use on membranes, etc. This effectively reduces transmitted noise when mounted on balconies or roof areas, as well as for floors in multi-occupancy buildings.

1020XLP pedestal supports are tested to withstand loads of 2675 lbs (1213 kg) at their weakest setting, (i.e. maximum height adjustment with minimal thread engagement). 

Applications & Suitable Surfaces

Suitable for laying over membranes and insulating panels

Thanks to the large support area of the pedestal bases the system can be installed on top of waterproofing membranes, rigid insulating panels and onto any solid, compact laying surface.

The circular shape of the base adapts well to the course of the laying surface, even when this is not perfectly regular. The base incorporates channels for the outflow of water.
